Breathing – Group Exhibition

Breathing – Group Exhibition

Friday 13.8
11:00-12:30
Dwek Gallery, Mishkenot Cultural Center

Gallery Talk

This exhibition aspires to examine the space in which we breathe, in these challenging times in which we are forced to suddenly stop everything.

The works displayed are by prominent artists who live and work in Israel, and they invite us to consider how encountering their art affects us as viewers – raising questions, provoking thoughts, evoking emotion, creating tension or inspiring memory or longing. Each in her own unique way expresses the hopes, the fears, the thoughts and feelings we experienced, and gives viewers the experience of looking inwards and becoming aware of the importance of space in our lives – the spaces between inhaling and exhaling.

The gallery talk conducted by exhibition curator Ronit Reik, with artists Sigalit Landau, Orly Maiberg, Tali Navon. We will end the session by watching the video dance "Outside," created by writer Etgar Keret and choreographer Inbal Pinto following the global epidemic.
